Designer Legal/Process · Study plan

A study plan built around your exam date

Tell it when you write and which days you can study. It lays out every lesson, review and practice exam for you, day by day, so you always know what to do next.

  • All 23 lessons, in syllabus order. New lessons are capped per day, so each one has a map to hang on.
  • A pace check. Comfortable, steady, intensive or cram. If it’s too tight, it suggests a later date or lessons to trim.
  • Reviews when you start to forget. Spaced to your own Review results, with mixed topics in each session.
  • Two timed practice exams near the end, and a light last day before the exam.
  • Fell behind? Re-plan from today in one click. Your plan is saved to your account.

Study at your own pace

Every lesson is below. Open any one, in any order, whenever it suits you. Each starts with a guess, gives you the map and the reasons, and ends with a 3-question check, book closed.

Study notes, not an official interpretation. About these notes

Only the Minister’s binding interpretations (Act s.28.1) and the decisions of the chief building official on a real project are authoritative.

Quoted provisions are from the Building Code Act, 1992 (e-Laws consolidation current from June 2, 2026) and the 2024 Building Code, O. Reg. 163/24 (Compendium, January 16, 2025 update). Code amendments made after January 2025 (November 2025, April 2026 and July 2026) are not yet reflected.

Summaries, explanations and examples are ours: confirm against the official text of the Act and the Code before relying on anything.
